Cobalt Design and Construction is lead by a team of experienced professionals who are adept at solving the challenges that face real estate owners and developers.

Larry Atah – Principal

Mr. Larry Atah has more than 20 years of increasingly responsible experience in the field of civil engineering, construction management and contract administration and residential and commercial development projects. Mr. Larry Atah received a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from famous Pratt Institute. He is an experienced civil engineer with expertise in the direction and preparation of plans, schedules, design layout, contract drawings, specifications, reports and construction supervision for numerous assignments, with broad experience in project management including scheduling construction administration and planning.

Dr. Anthony Sometun PE, RA – (PE)

He received his PHD in structure from Columbia University and Bachelor degree in Architecture from City College.

Mr. Obiorah Achara

He received his Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, Clemson South Carolina. His area of authority is on Soil and Foundation Engineering and Construction. He is also a Certified Construction Manager Department of Buildings Construction, Certified Site Superintendent and Fire NYC Fire Department Certified Fire Safety Manager

Mr. Peter Groenendaal

He is the company director of sustainable designs. His leadership offers a sound perspective, commitment, and approach to sustainability. Peter is also an authority on solar technology and wind energy.

Mr. Kenneth Philogene

Kenneth Philogene obtained his first degree and masters degree in engineering from Cooper Union School of Engineering. He has a wealth of experience in HUB, NYCDOB, and HPD filings. His professional affiliations include the following:

  • Licensed Profession of Engineering in New York and New Jersey;
  • Member of National Fire Protection Authority NFPA
  • Member of National Society of Professional Engineers NSPE
